Welcome to Paige Archer and a New Role for Martha-Lynn

It’s often said that when one door closes another opens.  We were saddened when Michelle Davis moved to Lynchburg. She has added so much to the Red room experience and has been so generous in using her photography skills with the entire school.  We were, however, so fortunate that Martha Lynn Corner, who leads our Little Shepherds program for both the four and five day programs and who already knows the Red room children, stepped into the Red room, working with Blanche, as soon as Michelle left.

And to complete our staff, we hired Paige Archer as the extra teacher for the five day classes.  Paige had visited St. Stephen’s last spring in preparation for Collegiate’s JK program and loved the school’s approach to learning.

Paige has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska and completed her Master’s in Special Education from George Mason. Prior to moving to Richmond Paige obtained her Virginia teacher certification and taught in both Alexandria and Charlottesville schools.  She is currently a co-teacher in the afternoon JK program at Collegiate.  Because of her connection with Tia there and her visit in the spring, Paige applied to St. Stephen’s Preschool. She began working here when Martha Lynn moved across the hall.

We are excited with the addition of Paige to our staff and so appreciate the warm welcome from students, teachers and parents for both Martha Lynn and Paige in their new roles.
