Happy Easter! We hope you all enjoyed our Purple Room Easter Egg Hunt as much as the children did. Thank you to the Degnan family for so graciously hosting us and thanks to the many parents who supplied all of the food, drinks and treat-filled eggs.
Leading up to Easter, we had a variety of egg and bunny related activities around the classroom and at the art table, always with fine motor skills in mind.
As you know, we have spent the last few weeks exploring all forms of Transportation in the classroom and on the playground. Ask you child to sing “Twinkle, Twinkle Traffic Light” to you if you haven’t already heard it. (Twinkle, twinkle, traffic light. Round the corner shining bright. Red means stop. Green means go. Yellow means go very slow. Twinkle, twinkle, traffic light. Round the corner shining bright.)
Besides singing their new favorite version of Twinkle, Twinkle, we have read books about trains, planes, trucks and boats. The children made shape vehicles and traffic lights and have had a great time playing at the train table.
Spring would not be complete without a visit to the baby chicks in the Blue Room. We were able to see them just before they departed. The children gathered around to watch them and were able to touch one very gently with one finger.
It’s hard to believe that our year is winding down. We continue to enjoy every moment with your children!
